Phantom Battery Mission

Phantom Battery is an intelligence-management problem. Keep every reported position separate, update the map as new messages arrive, and avoid converting an uncertain clue into a confirmed target.

Build an evidence map

Mark confirmed points differently from estimated ones. Preserve the order of messages so a later correction does not get mixed with an earlier report.

Operational sequence

Community discussions agree that careful identification is the central difficulty; exact shortcuts may vary and remain unverified.

  1. Read all available intelligence before firing.
  2. Separate observer, battery, and reference positions.
  3. Triangulate only from compatible reports.
  4. Re-check the target identity.
  5. Build and verify the firing solution.
  6. Use impact feedback for correction.

What not to assume

Do not treat a named location, observer position, or incoming-fire clue as the hostile gun unless the mission information supports that link.
