What this dispatch changes

Patch notes are most useful when they are translated into a checkable operator response. Save, mission-entry, input, and control fixes affect whether a firing workflow can be completed at all; visual or localization fixes affect how confidently the same workflow can be read and transferred.

Key changes in the official notes

  • Mouse cursor sometimes missing after tabbing out during intros, cinematics, or scene transitions.
  • Mission events not resetting correctly when replaying the same mission.
  • Turret position and movement not resetting correctly between missions.
  • Excessive log spam from interactions and other systems.
  • Russian mission localization errors.

Operator actions

  1. Confirm Steam has installed the newest available build before reproducing an older issue.
  2. Retry the affected mission or station with the same steps, then record what still fails instead of changing several variables at once.
  3. Rebuild any firing card whose range, charge selection, control state, or mission data may have changed after the update.

DAY FOUR // FRONTLINE REPORT

Over a QUARTER MILLION of you have bought IRON NEST.

Those three days were all it took for you to turn our dream into reality.

Now let us keep dreaming this dream with you...

Over the next few days, our main objective remains the same: keep strengthening the IRON NEST and eliminate the issues you report from the front. Meanwhile, Nick is already laying the groundwork for our first new Skirmish Modes, as promised in the roadmap.

We also see that many of you are asking about console ports, VR, multiplayer, and other future plans. To make things easier, we’ve gathered answers to many of these questions in our FAQ thread here on the Steam Community Hub. If there’s something we haven’t covered yet, you can submit your question through the form there. We’ll keep updating the FAQ with new answers as often as we can. And if you’d rather talk to us directly, you’re always welcome to join us on Discord.

We still don’t have the words to fully express how grateful we are for the support you’ve given us... not just over these first three days after launch, but throughout the entire last year.

From the very beginning, many of you have been building IRON NEST with us on Discord. Sharing your feedback, reporting issues, and helping us shape the game along the way. What IRON NEST is today was built together with you, and we truly wouldn’t be here without your support.

THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE WITH US.

And on this occasion, it feels only right to mention a special track that was originally prepared to celebrate 400,000 wishlists on Steam back in June 2026, with a video made from the salute footage you provided. Since many of you may not have seen the video or heard the track yet, we thought this would be the perfect moment to bring it back.

There are still many chapters left to write in the service of Castile.

GLORY TO THE OPERATORS!

Nick & Dominik
